Answer:

Gases and particles in Earth's atmosphere scatter sunlight in all directions. Blue light is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves. This is why we see a blue sky most of the time.

Answer:

Water is not blue but it appears blue when sun light falls on it. Red, yellow and orange colors of sunlight are strongly absorbed by water , being of longer wave length where as blue because of its shorter wave length is returned back. Thus water appears blue .

Darker sand comes from a number of minerals that are often denser and heavier than tan and quartz. A common mineral giving the beach a dark color is Magnetite. You may also be familiar with black-sanded beaches derived from volcanic sediments such as the beach seen in the cover image.

Hope it helps !!!!
