=>> The small interstine is best suited for the digestion and absorption of food as :-
1.It is very long(about 6 m)
2.Its lining is thick to allow rapid diffusion of substances.
3.Its inner wall has numerous finger like projections called VILLI.these increase the surface of the interstine to about 5 times for the absorption of digested food.
