Why is sodium kept in kerosene ?

Because it react with oxygen and as well as iron or any object so it is harmful for our atmosphere and things so we kept in kerosene oil

sodium metal is very reactive. It reacts vigorously with oxygen and water. Lot of heat is generated in the reaction. It is, therefore, stored in kerosene
