why is sodium stored under kerosene and not water?

because in atmosphere it can react with air to give a very explosive reaction...thats y it's stored under kerosene ...but not water...coz kerosene cutoffs the supply of air

Hey dear ‼

Sodium is kept inside Kerosene oil instead of water because it reacts very violently with water . As sodium is highly reactive in nature
