Why is sulphuric acid known as an oxoacid?

It signifies it's property of ionising into two portions. In sulphuric acid ,one atom of sulphur bonds to two hydroxyl group .The other two oxygen atoms form pie bonds with the atom .Thus, sulphuric acid exhibit tetrahedral geometry.
