Why is swimming in beaches is easier than swimming in river

It is easier to float because salt water(river water) is heavier therefore a percentage of your body that would be submerged if you were swimming in fresh water is less than that of beach water.

its because the density of water at beaches is way more than that in the river because of huge amount of salt in it. It helps in floating.
