why is that H2O2 cannot be stored for prolonged period?

Hydrogen peroxide is unstable and very reactive. It's vapours are explosive in normal temperatures and pressures. It decomposes easily and can lead to hazardous reactions . so it should be kept very carefully. It should be stored in cool dry well ventilated areas and away from combustible material. It should be kept in non reactive containers. As it breaks down quickly when exposed to light it should be contained in brown bottles
