MOST OF CROPS GROWN IN INDIA ARE SEASONAL BECAUSE THEY ARE EASILY AVAILABLE AND THEIR DEMAND IS MORE. ALSO, AS INDIA IS ONLY COUNTRY WHICH EXPERIENCES SIX SEASONS, IT IS HARD TO GROW PERENNIAL CROPS.

Hello dear,

● Agriculture in India is seasonal because -
- In India, agriculture mainly depends on the rainwater & thus on monsoon.
- Irrigation system are not efficient enough to provide water to crops in summer/winter.
- Thus agriculture in India is seasonal in nature.

● Difficulties for perennial agriculture -
- Plants that survive without replanting for several years are called perennial plants.
- But these plants are difficult to maintain due to scarcity of water in india.

Thanks for asking dear.
