in electrolysis, hydrogen and oxygen are obtained in the ratio 2:1. this is because when an electric current is passed through acidulated water, it decomposes into its original constituents hydrogen and oxygen in amounts exactly similar to what they were in the electrolyte.

during the process of electrolysis the H and O will be obtained in ratio of 2:1 that means the amount of H will be doubled to O
