Why is the bond angle in ph3 is less than that in nh3 molecule?

because the electrinegatvity of phosphorus is less than nitrogen so the paired eletron stays a bit far from p in respect of nitrogen so electron repulsion is less than NH3 so the angle can be minimised and it decreases
