"India is an agricultural country.
Agriculture mainly depends on the rainfall received through monsoon. The rainy season in India is from June to September.
Farmers mainly depend on this periodic rainfall. But, sometimes there is no even rainfall across India.
Some states receive heavy rainfall of about 1000 cm and some states receive less than 200 cm.
At that time, Farmers depend on river banks for agriculture. The crops which are cultivated in India needs heavy rainfall.
When the rainfall fails, the farmers are the sufferers and normal people also face socio-economic problems. So, many people who are involved in farming move to various places in search of jobs."
