why is the chemical formula of hydroxide OH- ?
since it is a compound it contains hydrogen and oxygen. but oxygen has valency 2 and hydrogen 1. so if we interchange we notice that it is OH²- no? so why its real formula is OH-? do anyone know the answer?if anyone know please explain​
