it is bcuz due to construction of dams the flora and fauna gets disturbed and with pace of time dissappeared completely .E.g. due to dams like bagliar the flora and fauna at that place gets disturbed and extinct completely

Dam is a mechanical structure which controls and checks the movement of water across the river. Its construction led to ecological imbalance which may lead to oppostion, criticism and controversies.  

EXPLANATION:

• Dam construction led to destruction of that particular area. Several trees are cut down, several homes are damaged, the forest is cut, etc. there is a problem of rehabilitation of humans and also the animals.

• There is a lot more damage done to the environment. Though it produces electricity but it also lead to the damages around it.
• Also the aquatic life is disturbed by it. The aquatic plant is damaged and fishes are affected by it.
