Why is the direction of polar winds not the same in both the hemispheres?

As seen in above figure, North pole and south poles are high pressure zones.


It is also seen that subpolar low-pressure zones are located at both northern and southern zones.


In addition to that equilateral low-pressure zones in the equator all along the periphery of the earth.


Therefore, Air flows in southern direction from northern hemisphere high pressure zone to respective low-pressure zones as shown in the above figure.


Similarly, air flows in reverse direction in southern hemisphere.
