The author is correct in calling the Earth "The Ailing Planet ". Our planet is currently a patient with its health declining everyday. The various ailments that the planet suffers from were all inflected upon it by us humans. We have unleashed a chain of ailments onto our planet , pollution , followed by hole in the ozone layer followed by global warming. These are some of the various dangers that our planet faces. We humans, who have managed to pollute all four of the Earth's main biological systems , are the most dangerous animals in the world. Fortunately, we humans , are also the most intelligent creatures on Earth and therefore it is our responsibility to nurse the Earth back to health.
