why is the efficiency of single movable pulley not 100%

hey Mate here is ur ans

though we calculate the mechanical advantge and velocity ratio of a single fixed pulley as 1

still efficiency of any true machine is not 100% as no machine is an ideal machine

the reason for this is

* loss of energy due to friction between moving parts of machine at the axle or in the pulley bearings so effort is more

* the weight of the moving parts of the given design of the pulley.
