why is the electricity in our houses measured in kwh and not in joules

this is because the amount of electricity we use at our house is much larger that it cannot be measured in joules so therefore it is measured in kwh to represent it easily. hope it helps you!

The electricity in our houses measured in kwh and not in joules because it is a small units so it is measured in KWH not in Joules
