why is the government stressing upon the use of jute / cloth carryy bags.?

1. It is better alternative than plastic bags.
2. It is stronger,
3. It is reusable,
4. It is biodegradable.
5. It does not cause harm to environment.
6. It can be used for a longer period of time.
7. It does not cause other problems like choking drains, damaging sewage , etc.
