Why is the groundnut fried along the sand?

Actually it's not sand. Groundnut is fried in common salt. salt is ionic compound and gets heated quickly

Because sand takes small amounts of heat quickly from frying pan and looses quickly the groundnuts....

We also use salt for frying groundnut.. Salt also heat the groundnuts.. Quickly....
