why is the Malabar coast covered with thick evergreen forests

The Malabar Coast or Ecoregion has an area of 23,800 square kilometres (9,200 sq mi).

It has evergreen forest because of its highly favourable Climate for green plants to Survive.

It includes the southern ranges of the Western Ghats, including the Agastyamalaiand Anamalai, and the eastward spurs of the Nilgiri Hills and Palni Hills. 

As of 1997, 13 protected areas had been designated, covering an area of over 3,200 km².-
