why is the melting point of potassium very less than that of iron although both are metals? give reason​

Answer:

On going from Na to K , the size of the atom increases and hence the melting bonding weakens . In other words , sodium has higher melting point than potassium because of stronger metallic bonding .

Answer:

potassium is too soft to hold a state but iron is a hard metal which can be melted and given a new shape that is why melting point of potassium is less.
