Why is the mirror not only cruel and only truthful ?

Mirrors show exactly what they see. They wont mix any kinda illusion or cheating in it. All they do is show what they see. By doing this they are being truthful. No matter how beautiful you are or how ugly you are, the mirror will only show us the right things.
But the reality is never gonna support the truthful ones. Its a kinda true in the case of people. The one who stand with truth will be the odd one in the society. They are called as the cruel ones and are considered as the savages. The same happens to mirrors. They show the real images of people. If they grow old, mirror will show your worn out skin and not the beauty you had in your youth. This makes them mean and cruel
