When a body moves along circular path then direction of motion keeps changing continuously. So if an athelete moves with constant speed along circular path then velocity(speed) will not be constant because velocity is the speed in specified direction and here direction of speed changes constantly.Since the velocity changes(due to continuous change in direction )
therfore motion along circular path is said to be acclerated.
