The multiplicative inverse of a number is another which when these two numbers are multiplied, the product should be equal to 1.
For example:
The multiplicative inverse of 2 is 1/2.
When 2 and 1/2 are multiplied, the answer is 1.
Similarly
The multiplicative inverse of 5 is 1/5.
In case of zero, if any number is multiplied by zero, the answer is zero.
There is no way to get the product 1 when multiplied by 0.
According to the definition, the product should be equal to 1.
Hence, there is no multiplicative inverse for zero.
