why is the pressure on the concave side of a liquid drop or bubble more than that on its convex side

it depends on Surface tension.

there is always an extra pressure of liquid drop if it's on concave surface when it's compared with convex side excess pressure would be less...

The pressure at the concave side not only has to balance ATM pressure but also the surface tension of the liquid drop acting inwards as a result if Po is the ATM Pressure Pressure inside the liquid drop is given as

Pin=Po+2S/R , where S is surface tension and R is the radium is liquid drop , therefore 2S/R is excess.. hence greater is the pressure
