Reason why prolonged use of DDT is not considered as desirable:

The DDT is elaborately called as Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane. It is widely used by the farmers as insecticides. Its use was considered as undesirable because it was less soluble in water and it remained more concentrated in the plants and when the plant or its product is consumed it leads to fatal risk.

Due to its insolubility ability in the water, it remains in the environment for more period of time and when live stocks consume it, it enters the body and gets accumulated in the form of fatty tissues and causes risk.
