liquid has more intetmolecular space than solid,.this allows the liquid to move faster and thus liquid diffuses much faster than solid.

This is because liquids have more inter molecular space between their .

Whereas , on the other hand , there is less inter molecular space between the particles of a solid.

As there is less amount of space between the particles in a liquid , they are able to move faster than solid particles
