Why is the rating of breathing in aquatic organisms much faster than in terrestrial organism?

because amount of oxygen dissolve in water is much lower than to that of land so rate is faster

Answer:

Aquatic animals take dissolved oxygen from water which is low in water . Whereas Terrestrial animals take oxygen directly from the air . Therefore rate of breathing in aquatic animals is much faster than in Terrestrial organisms
