Heya....
As we know that India got it's Independence on 15th August 1947...
But It being Republic on 26th January 1950...
Because govt of India applied it's own Constitution and Democratic base on that day...

because india has gained it's constitution on 26th January and this date was chosen because the 1st session the lahore session was held at 26th
