Why is the secound ionisation enthelpy of carbon is more then its first ionisation enthelpy

Answer:

this is because after the removal of one electron from neutral C atom it acquires +ve charge due to which ENC increases so the valence e- are pulled from strongly by the nucleus so the second ionization enthalpy increses
