➡Devices of different current rating cannot be connected as the current is constant in series circuit

➡If one device fails , the circuit is broken and all devices stop working

➡We cannot use independent on/off switches with individual appliances

Why Is The Series arrangements Not For Used Domestic Circuits ?

Answer

Series arrangement is not used for domestic circuits due to following reasons :

• Total resistance of domestic circuit will be sum of the resistance of all appliances and hence current drawn by the circuit will be less.

• We cannot use independent on/off switches with individual appliances.
