Explanation:

This is because the outer shell of neon gas is complete. They have the maximum number of electron in their outermost orbit has the electronic repulsion are maximum hence the size of neon gas is greater than the chlorine.

This is because the nuclear charge that is atomic number increases from left to right in the same period thereby bringing the outermost shell closer to the nucleus so that the sodium is greater than the magnesium .

Thank you

Size of neon is greater than the fluorine atom because neon has a stable configuration i.e, octet and hence have the maximum number of electrons which increases the inter - electronic repulsions within the atom . This leads to increase in size of neon atom (NOBLE GAS) .

Sodium(1st group) and magnesium(2nd group) lie in the 3th period . The atomic size decreases as we move from left to right across a period and hence , SODIUM has a greater atomic size than MAGNESIUM .
