why is the sun so bright

it's bright due to its enormous size. The heat that produces the brightness is powered by nuclear fusion that takes place in the sun's core under massive gravitational pressure.

In sun there is something happening that is similar to atom bomb explosion called thermonuclear fusion. Thermonuclear fusion is an explosion that happens when hydrogen and helium fuse. When an atom bomb explodes, its effect is for a few kilometers, but, sun is very big star so effect is big that makes the sun appear bright.
