We knew that pressure acting on a surface is indirectly proportional to it's surface area.So the tip of the allpin is made sharp in order to apply thrust or pressure at a particular point without getting deviated such that it will finally penetrates easily into the surface.

it is sharp because the pressure applied in it does not get divided and the more pressure will be there in an point
