Yse of iodised salt advisable because--

1)-Iodine is needed by the thyroid gland for the production thyroxin hormone. 

2)-Iodine is necessary for the making of thyroxine hormone by thyroid gland, therefore, a deficiency of iodine in the diet can cause a deficiency of thyroxine hormonein the body.

3)-Iodised salt is advisable to help reduce the chance of iodine deficiency in humans.
