why is the use of seed drill more advantage used as compared to sowing seeds by broadcasting?

Seed drill keep seeds at a proper distance from each other so that they can get enough nutrients, water and sunlight to grow.... Whereas in broadcasting we throw seeds by hand, so some seeds fall too close to each other that they do not get enough water and nutrients and some fall too far apart from each other which causes wastage of land
