Why is the vapour pressure of a solution of glucose in water lower than that of water?

Understand like this:- Imagine a pure water and and its surface molecules, molecules constantly form gas only thing holding is the intermolecular hydrogen bond.But now when we have glucose than more molecule present at surface having more force so less water molecules turn into vapour. So now less vapour pressure
