why is the volume of a solution does not change when salt is dissolved in it ?

the volume of water doesn't change when salt is added to it because salt is soluble in water and occupy spaces between 2 molecule of water

because when salt is dissolve in water it breaks into ions and there is some gap in water molecules
so these ions are filled in those gaps
so there is no volume change
