Heya friend;!
Rajdeep Here....

During electrolysis of acidified water using Hoffman's Voltameter,

H2O ------> H+ + OH-
H2SO4 ----> H+ + (SO4)2-

At cathode: H+ + e -----> H
H + H -----> H2

At anode: OH- - e ----> OH
2OH + 2OH ----> 2H2O + O2

Now, note that in the molecular formula of water (H2O), there are two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen. So the volume of hydrogen:oxygen produced is in the ratio 2:1

Thanks!!
