why is the work done on an object moving with uniform circular
motion zero?
SyedAdil:
bcoz the body is perpendicular to force applied [ 90°] or the displacement is zero

Because the object moving with uniform motion has 0 acceleration. And work done = displacement x force , force = mass x acceleration

Work done is zero when an object is moving with uniform circular motion because the tangential acceleration of the object is 0. There is only radial component of acceleration which is not responsible for the change in velocity.
W=F x S
F= ma
a=0 so F= 0
Thus W= 0 x S
W= 0
W=F x S
F= ma
a=0 so F= 0
Thus W= 0 x S
W= 0
