why is there a good growth of lower layer vegetation in tropical deciduous forest than in the tropical evergreen forest

In tropical evergreen forest there is heavy vegitation of leafs wheras not in deciduous forest

khushi712: In tropical deciduous forests as the trees are more spaced out light easily reaches the lower levels so that there is good development of the lower layer in the form of shrubs and bushes. Generally tropical evergreen forest have two to three layers hardly any sun light filter through to the lower layer so that there is not good growth of lower layer vegetation in the tropical evergreen forest.
