Why is there a large variety of forests in India? Ans in short.

This is so due to a large variety of soils,relief,weather conditions etc..

Soils such as sandy soils support dry soils...relief features like mountains they support montane forest...weather too support other plants

Different types of natural vegetation are dependent on different climatic conditions among which the amount of rainfall is very important.

2. Due to varied climatic conditions, India has a wide range of natural vegetation.

3.The soil types, amount of rainfall and sunlight contribute to variety of flora that are found in India.

4.Due to the amount of humidity in the atmosphere.

5.A lot of rainfall is received in this area like about 2000mm of rainfall and having a monthly mean temperature of 18 degrees (c) or higher in the coldest month.
