Ans : there are so much duversity in life on the Earth because there are great numbers of species on the earth, the present day organism are the end product of about 3.5 billion years of organic evolution on earth.
the evolution resulted in greaf variety of species. thats why there are so much diversity in life on the earth.

Since, the number of organism is vast , thats why it was used to divide them in groups.

As aristotle used to divided living world in to :Plant & animals 'same with linnaeus'
But linnaeus gave some good units of classifications of organism (living world)

these are : 1.)Kingdom 2.)Phylum (for animals) / Division (for plants)
3.)Class 4.)order 5.)family
6.)genus 7.)species.
