Why is topsoil considered a nonrenewable resource even though it is constantly being formed by weathering of rocks

Hey there,

PEDOGENESIS or the formation of soil takes 100 years for the renewal of 1cm of soil. Since it is a very slow process, it is considered as non-renewable.
