It is because:
▪ Total income doesn't explains how income is distributed among the country.
▪ It doesn't confirms whether money accumulates in the hand of mighty and poors still suffer or not.
▪ Human capital and skill is also a determinant factor of devolopment of country. It is not expressed by total income.
▪ Total income never reveals whether people get access to basic facilities or not.
