Why is trihydric alcohol more viscous than ethylene glycol?

Viscosity depends on the amount of hydrogen bonding between molecules and presence of more −OH group, glycerol involved in intramolecular hydrogen bonding within the molecule, thus glycerol is more viscous than ethylene glycol.
