Why is tungsten used in filament of bulbs name and state the law on which this is based?

tungsten is used as it has high melting point and so when high amount of current flows temperature increases but the filament doesn't melt thus tungsten is used.
It follow the ohm's law and joules law of haeting

Tungsten wire has highest melting point,lowest vapour pressure and greatest tensile strength of all the metals
