✔️viruses are exception to cell theory because they are assumed non living when they are not infecting any host ... their metabolism is very low and they don't even multiply .
✔️but once they enter their host they divide rapidly.

The viruses are non-cellular organism that are characterised by having an inert crystalline structure outside the living cell. Once they infect a cell they take over the machinery of the host cell to replicate themselves, killing the host. That's why virus is an exception to cell theory.
