virus is on the boundary between living and non-living as when it is inside a body or a host it is living and it reproduces but when outside the host it us non-living and is dormant.

virus is known as borderline of life as it shows both the features of living and non living things. when it it is floating on air or sitting on a door knob it is just as salt or sugar, in fact it can be dryied and stored in ajar. But when gets a suitable host it shows the features of living things and reproduce rapidly.
