Why is virus thought of as something in between the living and nonliving?
Virus just like non living organisms out of their host cells. In their host cells, they multiply just like any other living organism.
How do virus multiply within a host cell ?
In the host cells, virus enter and firstly cause the disintegration of the host nucleus. Now they have the full control of the host cell. They direct the host cell to produce viral parts like viral nucleic acid, protein coat, etc. Later, assemblage of these parts takes place in the host cell and then the host cell bursts to release the newly formed virus.

WHY IS VIRUS THOUGHT SOMETHING IN A BETWEEN THE LIVING AND NON LIVING?
Explanation:
- virus are something between the living and the non living, they are a cellular which means that they do not have the any of the substance contained in a cell
- they consists of a bit of nuclear materials wrapped in a protein coat. they cannot reproduce unless they enter the cell of a living organism 3. they do not use energy to grow they do not respond to stimuli yet ,when a virus enter the cell of the living organism.
